I don't know what else I can do. I looked in network and sharing center, and found nothing. google didn't come up with anything either. I have to reconnect to my network when I restart my computer, and if I turn off the wireless switch or reset the router. I have Windows 7 Home Premium.

What software do you have for the connection profiles? For instance, I use the wi fi connection utility built into my windows xp machine. You may have something a bit different but you can always go into your network wireless properties and poke around.

I had the same problem with Windows 7, although I was using Starter. When you connect to a wireless network, there's a checkbox in there that neither Jaws or Window-Eyes seems to allow us to check. The checkbox is about automatically connecting to that network when it's available. I was able to see it by routing Jaws to PC, but no matter what I tried, it wouldn't let me check it. I eventually had to get sighted help.

Thanks for the info. I'll keep that in mind when I connect to a new network. Think I'll see if NVDA or SA to go will work with that checkbox. What I ended up doing was manually creating the network, and checking the box for it to connect. It seems to work for now. I'm using Windows to manage wireless networks with an Intel driver.

I'm using Windows 7 home premium on an Acer Ferari one-200 netbook and I had no problems with the network and sharing centre, such as not being able to check or uncheck the box to automatically connect to our Netgear security enabled Sky router, 20 mbps broadband. I've only ever had problems when the router itself has broken and I couldn't log on till I'd unplugged the router for 3 minutes then plugged it back in and connected again. I have in fact, just switched from this topic to my control pannel. I went in to network and internet, Network and sharing centre, tabbed round to where you can configure your network adapter(s) clicked on the built-in wireless adapter properties and I can actually check and uncheck the afore-mentioned checkbox which defines whether you connect automatically when in range of your router or not, so for those of you who can't, well, if a sighted friend or relative helped you set up your PC, lappy or netbook when you got it, they could have broken something along the way, your JAWS or whatever screenreader you're using has gremlins and isn't itself today, or, worse, it's a gremlin with the OS which is stopping the lappy or PC from playing ball. I'd get all those scenarios checked out then try to check those boxes again in your wireless adapter properties.
